Flash fiction at The Five Hundred

500 ImageI love The Five Hundred.

It’s a flash fiction site where we get a monthly prompt and deadline. We then respond with written pieces within a framework of 400-600 words.

Such fun.

January features 13 new works. All of them are extremely fun reads. Mine is my first submission in a little under a year, called “Powerless.”

It’s an awesome community. If you’re interested in the challenge and want to interact with other writers on a really useful level, this is the place for you:

The Five Hundred

Also, Saturday night (Jan. 25) I’ll be making some noise with Baghouse from Athens, GA at Head On The Door here in Montgomery, AL. 10pm. We’ll be doing three sets and playing all night. Come on out, if you’re around!

Oh . . . and Beth from Portishead is doing a new recording for Domino.
