I’d like to present you with Volume 1 of Joyless Noise. This is the first in what I plan to be a long-running series of noise releases. This one was primarily created with analog synths, with some glazing added by Wolfgang Palm’s amazing WaveMapper application. Each of these volumes will feature wildly-different methods of creating noisy musicks for bolstering the purging, summoning or enslaving of personal and non-personal demons. “The Catalog Of Woe” on this volume is a nasty little collaboration with Dylan Hawes-Glynn from The Most Amazing Century Of Science. Perfection of imagery by the always spot-on Austin Gaines.
This was a completely immersive and intense session for me . . . and I really hope that the experience of listening will be equally so. Please listen loud, through your favorite reproduction method–and see what it gives you.
This, and all future volumes of Joyless Noise, will be available only on Bandcamp and will always be competitively-priced at $1. Please spread the Unjoy.
